Tunisia continues to shine on the international stage with its packaged olive oil
Tunisia continues to shine on the international stage with its conditioned olive oil, which has just won 19 new medals in two prestigious competitions.
This is the JOOP International Olive Oil Competition in Japan, where Tunisia won 10 medals, including 6 gold and 9 other medals at the New York NYIOOC 2023 International Olive Oil Competition in late March 2023.
These recent successes are in addition to the previous awards won by Tunisian olive oil, which won 300 medals in 2022 and 214 in 2021, propelling the country into the top 10 in the world for the first time.
The Ministry of Industry stressed in a statement that these international awards contribute greatly to the promotion of Tunisian olive oil among specialists in the sector and consumers around the world.
In addition, Tunisia is currently preparing to participate in the Summer Fancy Food Show 2023 in June in New York. A stand dedicated to packaged olive oil will be set up by the Packaging and Packaging Technical Centre (PACKTEC), following the success of Tunisian participation in the 2021 edition of the same show.
In February, Tunisian olive oil was also present at the “Gulfood 2023” International Food Show in Dubai, where 16 Tunisian companies specializing in the production, packaging and export of olive oil took part
